Prep Your Current Brake System to Ensure Maximum Performance.
Before upgrading your car with B7 RS4 brakes, it’s important to make sure that the existing brake system is ready for maximum performance.
Have a professional mechanic inspect and clean all parts to ensure that everything is in working order, such as the calipers, rotors, pads and lines/hoses.
If any part of the current brake system is worn out or damaged, then replacing it will help get the most out of the B7 RS4 brakes when they’re installed on your car.
Fit the New B7 RS4 Brakes.
When you’re ready to fit the new B7 RS4 pads and discs, make sure that your car is jacked up securely on a flat surface.
Secure all components of the brake system including the lines/hoses, adjusters and wheels. Finally, check the braking power by gently pressing down on the brake pedal until it feels firm and secure.
If all is okay, test out your upgraded car with B7 RS4 brakes on an empty road or track to ensure maximum performance.
Check Your Brake Lines and Fluid Level Before Use.
After installing the new B7 RS4 calipers and discs, check your brake lines, hoses and fluid level by using a brake pressure gauge.
If the pressure is too low, you’ll need to fill up with the appropriate type of brake service fluid. Make sure to check for any air bubbles or leaks in the system before use. If all levels are up to standard, you’re ready for a test drive!
Test Drive and Adjust Accordingly for Maximum Performance.
Before going out for a drive, press the brake pedal several times to make sure there is no binding or sticking.
If it feels good and everything works as expected, you’re ready to go! It’s important to note that all vehicles may require slightly different set-ups for optimal braking performance.
Adjustments may involve simple things like tire pressure, brake bias adjustment, ride height or corner weight balancing depending on the track or surface.
Fire up the engine and give your car a thorough testing on your chosen route so that you can experience maximum performance from your B7 RS4 brakes!
